DanceLab: Aaron Thao
Warm up class taught by Aaron Thao, followed by a 3 hour creation process. The workshop will engage dancers in creative process guided by Aaron and culminate in a studio performance on April 5. The second workshop on April 5 will be led by Aaron Thao followed by a rehearsal process leading up to the performance. This is an ideal opportunity for dancers looking to hone their collaborative skills when working with creatives and for those wishing to explore their own creative practice as dance makers.

BalletMAR | Studio Showcase
Join BalletMAR's next performance in this intimate studio showing at West London School of Dance, showcasing company dancers in Aaron Thao's newest work, Mortar&Pestle, excerpts from works in progress, and two original works by Richard Bermange and Aaron Thao featuring dancers from BalletMAR's March workshops. Seating is limited and free to the public.

Mortar&Pestle is a narrative contemporary ballet that reimagines the origins of the infamous Slavic witch, Baba Yaga. The piece reflects the dualities and greys of morality, familial ties and cycles of trauma, and the balance of good and wicked in all of us. It is choreographed in collaboration with the dancers of BalletMAR under the direction of Aaron Thao. Additional excerpts from Aaron's Thao's upcoming Maurice and Lady M.
